How Business Credit Works at Easy Street Credit Repair
Personal score vs. business file
Your EIN has its own history with Dun & Bradstreet, Experian Business and Equifax Business. Most Nevada small businesses have an empty file, so lenders fall back on the owner's personal credit and personal guarantee.
The order of operations
Entity and licensing clean, business address and phone listed consistently, D-U-N-S number, then net-30 vendor accounts that report, then a business card, then a business line. Skipping steps is why applications get declined.
Vendors that report and vendors that don't
Plenty of 'build business credit' vendors don't report to anyone. We maintain a current list of ones that do and in what order to open them.
Timeline
A reporting file with three to five tradelines takes four to six months. Fundable in the eyes of most lenders is closer to a year. We say that up front.
Keeping personal credit out of it
The goal is a business that can borrow on its own. We also keep an eye on your personal file because the guarantee doesn't go away on day one.
